New for Spring! Ginger & Frankincense
Spring is my favorite season. It’s exuberant and life-affirming. I love the violets at the edge of the woods, the frogs peeping from the pond, and, of course, the bees flying to forage for willow and maple pollen and nectar. Those first warm days, when snow is melting and the breeze is gentle, give me hope for the year ahead.
How to capture that in a scent? Impossible, really! But we tried this year. The new scent is “Yael,” named for a friend going through her own renewal this year, and for the ginger and frankincense she (and I!) love.
Yes, we combine ginger and frankincense, wave some citrusy may chang in its direction (don’t want to overwhelm), and voila.
The scent is green, dry, resinous and deep, with a hint of lemon. It’s warming, like those first spring days.
It’s not for everyone. But it might be right for you!
Yael comes in a bar soap, fresh green and pale yellow swirls; bath fizzies; and a lotion. And because it’s for a limited spring run, the lotion will come in adorable handy packs that will fit in a pocket, a purse, a backpack.
