All About… Haiku

Haiku“Haiku” was inspired by a friend who has lived in Japan for decades. He told me how popular activated charcoal soaps were in Japan–so I just had to try it!

Haiku makes a great facial soap: along with activated charcoal and raw honey, I chose rice bran oil–rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and phytosterols–as the primary oil for this bar. Shea butter, tea tree oil and lavender essential oil round out the formula.

Nice as it is for your face, the rest of you will love it, too–at 4.7 oz, it’s plenty big enough to be a great, long-lasting body bar in the shower or bath.

Making this bar inspired me to write a bit of haiku myself:

Bee lands on flower
Draws nectar into her crop
Warm sun feeds us all

Should I keep my day job?
