People love, love, love my Ithaca Winter Balm. And what’s not to love? Shea butter, cocoa butter, avocado oil, and a touch of beeswax all whipped together. The unscented version is popular, as is Lavender, Yael’s Ginger Lemon, and Spiked Orange.
But I wanted to change it up, just a little. The balm now has Evening Primrose Extract, known for its anti-inflammatory properties and how it helps dry, itchy skin. Your winter-dry skin will drink it in, and thank you.
And now, just for this winter (unless you really love it, in which case I promise to keep making it), I’ve added one more scent to the line. Except it’s not a scent. “Cocoa Bean” has all the same luxurious ingredients… but I use organic cocoa butter that has all the natural cocoa butter loveliness. Including the aroma.
Sometimes I just open the jar and inhale. And I immediately feel better.
It doesn’t just smell like chocolate. The scent is heady, deep, rich, and complex.
I may change the whole Ithaca Winter Balm line just for this cocoa butter: Cocoa Lavender. Cocoa Citrus. Cocoa Vanilla.
What do you think?
