W00t! I Won A Contest!

Now that doesn’t happen too often to me!

Soap Queen Anne-Marie Faiola held a contest  to pick a  logo for her new subscription service, Handmade Beauty Box.  Every month, subscribers will receive a surprise in the mail: a box full of goodies to make their very own luscious handmade bath and beauty items: lotion bars, nail polish, bath fizzes, who knows!

You have the fun of a surprise in the mail (who doesn’t like getting a box in the mail?) and the fun of a new project–maybe one you can share with a favorite kid or friend. Or both.

Now, I have been a longtime customer of Anne-Marie’s company, Bramble Berry. They carry high quality ingredients that I use in the soaps and balms that I make, like essential oils, clays, botanicals, and more. I love their emphasis on customer support, and the totally free knowledge Anne-Marie shares about making your own bath and beauty products, as well as about her business experience. For a new business, that sort of help is invaluable.

So of course I had to enter the contest! I voted on which logo I liked best, and “liked” the new subscription service on a variety of social media. (You know I’m on a variety of social media, right? Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter…).

And wouldn’t you know, my name was picked out of a hat by  Jamisen, Anne-Marie’s sweet 3-year-old son! Yeah! I’ll receive 3 months of free projects! And as a big thank-you to Anne-Marie, Bramble Berry, and Jamisen, I’ll blog the project results here and on my other social media accounts. Though I’m sure Jamisen would prefer chocolate (maybe Anne-Marie too, eh?).

So stay tuned. The website launches in November, so my first project should come just in time for the holiday season.
